Thoughtful Inclusion – Activities are tailored to all ages and abilities so every child feels part of the celebration.
Education & Expertise – As certified educators, we bring intentional, developmentally appropriate care to every event.
Memorable Moments – We create joyful experiences that leave lasting smiles for kids and parents alike.
Who We Are
Sandy Toes was born from a simple idea: children deserve to celebrate weddings too. Founded by certified educators, we noticed that while parents enjoy one of the most important days of their lives, kids are often left bored, under-stimulated, or unsupervised.
What began as a passion for combining professional childcare with special events has grown into a trusted team serving families throughout Virginia Beach. Every ribbon wand, mini dance party, and cozy movie lounge we create is designed to make children feel included, happy, and safe — while giving parents confidence that their kids are in expert hands.
Our mission is simple: turn childcare into a joyful, unforgettable part of the wedding experience, guided by education, expertise, and heart.
Our Story
Sandy Toes is a professional wedding childcare service based in Virginia Beach, founded and led by certified educators. Our team of experienced caregivers specializes in creating safe, engaging, and memorable experiences for children during weddings and special events.
We’re not just babysitters — we’re trained professionals who understand child development, and we craft magical moments that kids remember long after the wedding day, giving parents peace of mind and time to celebrate.
Our Values
Meet Your Wedding Day Dream Team
Working with children has always been a huge part of my life. Before founding Sandy Toes, I spent five years as a classroom educator and more than ten years working as a professional nanny and babysitter. Through those experiences, I developed a strong understanding of how to care for children of all ages and how important it is for families to feel confident that their kids are safe, supported, and genuinely enjoying themselves.
The idea for Sandy Toes came from my passion for creating positive experiences for children while supporting families during important moments. Weddings are such meaningful celebrations, but they can also be long days for younger guests. I saw an opportunity to create a service that allows children to have their own fun, engaging experience while parents can relax and fully enjoy the celebration.
As the founder and owner of Sandy Toes, I focus on building a team that shares the same commitment to safety, professionalism, and creativity when it comes to caring for children. From planning activities and games to creating cozy spaces for kids to unwind, I love designing experiences that make children feel included and excited to be part of the day.
My goal with Sandy Toes is simple: to provide thoughtful, high-quality childcare that helps make weddings joyful and stress-free for the entire family. Knowing that parents can celebrate with peace of mind while their children are safe, happy, and having fun is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
Founder & Owner: Savannah Ferguson
I’m currently a public school educator with nine years of classroom experience, and working with children has always been at the heart of what I do. Every day I see how important it is for kids to feel safe, engaged, and included in the environments around them, and that perspective is exactly what I bring to my role at Sandy Toes.
As Director of Operations, I help coordinate the planning and logistics that make our wedding childcare experiences run smoothly. From organizing our childcare teams to designing activities that keep kids entertained and comfortable, my goal is to create an environment where children are not only cared for, but truly enjoy being part of the celebration.
My background in education allows me to approach childcare with intention. I love creating activities that are engaging, age-appropriate, and structured in a way that keeps kids happy and involved — whether it’s crafts, games, or a fun dance break during the reception.
For me, Sandy Toes is about combining two things I care deeply about: supporting families and creating joyful experiences for children. Knowing that parents can relax and fully enjoy a wedding while their kids are safe, happy, and having fun is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
